Can your students determine if a function is linear or not
? This mini-bundle teaches them how and contains everything you need for a one-day lesson plan!
First, begin with the included PowerPoint that explains the concept of "Is It Linear?" The presentation takes the student through determining if graphs, equations in both slope-intercept and standard form and tables of values are linear or not. Flash cards of the two equations are included for the student so that they can participate with the presentation.
Follow this up with the Is It Linear? cut and paste sorting activity. This activity provides the student a sorting mat that can be folded in half and fit nicely into an interactive notebook. The student cuts out many relations and functions and glues them onto the mat in the right location depending upon if they are linear or not.
Finally, also provided is a practice page that can be assigned for independent practice containing 21 practice questions over the concept. Key included for all resources.
