This activity is one I created because I have kids who are writing responses in phrases rather than in whole sentences and that is a pet peeve of mine. This is a way to explicitly teach guided written responses using whole sentences. I differentiated the activities so that they are not all the same difficulty.
I decided to make it so that the kids could cut out portions of the pages and glue them into interactive notebooks as a record of what we did on a particular day.
Here's what you get:
Four create--a-sentence task cards
One marking sentence parts practice page
Four add phrases to given subjects/verbs task cards
One cut and match the subject/verbs to phrases page with writing space for the results of the match
One cut and paste, Is it a Sentence?---yes or no page
One yes or no, Is it a Sentence?--- sort
One identification page (phrases or sentences)
One interactive notebook pockets activity with eight items to sort
