Product Description
Students review Islamic Civilization from a Medieval History class by creating a 22 event timeline and answering 4 questions. They will then classify the items according to a system detailed in the instructions, complete one task for 6 items and a different task for 3 other items. There are arrows in the first two lines of the timeline showing students the direction to fill out the pieces in. The answers are included where appropriate and this could work for a sub!

Sample timeline items and questions include:
--Muhammad has 1st revelation
--compilation of Quran begins
--Muhammad secludes himself in Cave of Hira
--Hijrah marks first year of Muslim calendar
--Caliphs chosen to lead after Muhammad’s death
--Abbasids overthrow Umayyads
--What do you consider the highest point of this time in Medieval Europe and why? Would historians agree with you, why or why not?
--Discuss what may have happened to Islam had there never been any divisions after Muhammad’s death. What might that have meant for the present?
