2.The Power of Language: why poets write poetry, how language is used to create sensory impressions, create rhythm and rhyme, play on our emotions and evoke memories and engage us intellectually. (1 PowerPoint and 5 worksheets)
3. Poetry for Analysis: introduction to concepts of subject, theme, point of view and purpose. (1 PowerPoint, 2 worksheets and 1 class test)
4. Poetry for Performance: from the oral tradition to modern performance poets; examines various forms of vocal performances of poetry, leading to students' own exploration of form and performance.(1 PowerPoint with embedded videos and 3 worksheets)
