Chi parla italiano? A fun and interactive way for students to draw conclusions about Italian pronunciation, based on what they already know!
This 2 page editable set includes:
-Homework for the night before the lesson. Students fill out a worksheet that guides them to identify the Italian words they already know.
-Handout for the day of the lesson. The day of the lesson, students work in small groups to try to deduce the pronunciation of the Italian vowels, consonants, and frequent letter combinations. Students will see that they can pronounce 'Anagnina' if they can pronounce 'lasagna!'
When I teach this lesson, I walk the room and make sure the children pronounce words the Italian way. It's important to be animated and help them to 'correct' their pronunciation of familiar words. They love to learn how to pronounce 'bruschetta' the Italian way!
