This worksheet is best suited for students in Italian I. It contains an outline of a brief dialogue between two students. Students must supply the correct definite or indefinite article for a particular classroom object as prompted. An example of the dialogue using "matita" is also included.

Before using this activity, students should be familiar with how to use:

- Singular forms of A
- Singular forms of The
- Classroom object vocabulary
- buono/ buona, caro/ cara
- questo/ questa

Teachers may also need to identify the vocabulary: vorrei, quanto costa, costa, c' è, troppo

Teachers may choose to use euro or dollars for the cost of classroom objects. The example in this document includes "un dollaro."
