Italian Posters: Words Ending with "-ma"
A visual reference for Italian students for some words that end in "-ma" that are of Greek origin are actually masculine, and words that end in "-ma" that are feminine.
Did you teach your students that words that end in -a are masculine, unless they end in -ma and come from Greek? There are so many that they are hard to keep track of! And how do you know which ones are Greek or not?
Here is a color-coordinated poster you can display in your Italian classroom for all!
Includes 5 pages of posters (3 pages of masculine words and 2 pages of feminine words). 2 of the masculine word pages are very close cognates and don't have any illustrations. The rest of the pages have small pictures to illustrate each definition.
