This resource has helped me to determine class participation grades.
The first few items are easier points to achieve and have a greater value.
The last four items require students to put forth more effort.
I ask students to complete it on their own with their own opinions.
I then make changes based on my own observations and their input.
I then give the rubrics back to them in class and ask if any of them would like to discuss the changes that I made. (Very few students usually disagree with the changes).
