It’s All About The Money
It’s All About The Money is a math board game that is all about money. This is a great game that focuses on teaching and reinforcing what students have learned about money. It can be played easily as a math center while the teacher might be working with a different small group.
This game includes *96 questions*, so the game can be played many times without students ever repeating questions. There are four categories of questions and 24 questions for each category:
Blue Questions: Are easier they ask fact type of questions; what type of coin is this, what is on the back of this coin
Yellow Questions: Students are asked to draw a certain amount of money or have to count the amount of money shown on the card
Green Questions: Ask word problems such as if I have 2 quarters, 3 dimes, and 2 pennies, how much money do I have?
Red Questions: These are harder and some above 2nd grade curriculum. Some are word problems that ask for them to give change. Some ask how many quarters does it take to $1.25
To play the game students move around the board and try to be the first to the finish star! There are answer keys for students to check their partner/opponents work.
