It's All Fun & Games {March Math & Literacy Activities for Kindergarten}

This math activity and partner game pack is perfect for Kindergarteners during the month of March! Your kids will love the activities because they are fun and engaging; you will LOVE them because the prep-work is super easy and minimal.

Themes included in this packet are: Read Across America, St. Patrick's Day, basketball, and spring.

This packet contains a total of 14 different activities. Note: Many of the activities have multiple version or very similar versions, so you can use the activities more than once, without having to re-explain directions to your students. Some activities are to be played individually, while others are meant to be played with a partner.

All activities include a kid-friendly "I Can" visual directions to promote independence. A table of contents is included to help you easily find the skills or activities you need.

- Roll and Add: Students will roll the dice, add the numbers together, and create an addition sentence. (2 activities) (K.OA.A.1, K.OA.A.2)
-Roll, Draw, and Add: Students will roll the dice, draw the dots, and create an addition sentence. (2 activities) (K.OA.A.1, K.OA.A.2)
-Roll and Add or Count: Dice games (2 activities included) (K.CC.A.1, K.CC.B.5)
-Shamrock Spin: Decomposing numbers 11-20. (K.NBT.A.1)
-Golden Coins: Decomposing numbers to 10, 2 levels included. (K.OA.A.3)
--Roll, Double, and Color: Students will roll the die, double the number, and use the color code to color the objects. (2 activities)(K.OA.A.1, K.OA.A.2)
-Part, Part, Whole: Students will compose and decompose numbers using dice. (2 activities) (K.OA.A.1, K.OA.A.2, K.OA.A.3)
-Number Words: Two activities to practice number words.
-Spin by Ten: Partner game to practice counting by ten. 2 levels included. (K.CC.A.1)
-Base Ten Count and Color: Students will roll the cube, count the base ten blocks and color the matching number on their paper. (K.NBT.A.1)
-Roll, Count, and Color: Students will roll the cube, count the ten frame and color the matching number on their paper. (K.NBT.A.1)
-Ten Frame Spin: Students will spin the spinner and make the number on the ten frame. (K.NBT.A.1)
-3D Shapes: Students will roll a shape cube, graph their rolls, and answer questions about their graph. (K.G.A.2, K.MD.B.3)
-Roll and Cover: A partner game to practice addition and counting on. (2 activities included) (K.OA.A.2)
