This is the perfect game to help students develop effective argumentative tools. Students must first reach a consensus as a small group as to which noun is best paired with which adjective, and then COME TOGETHER with those results and make a selection as a class through consensus. The main value is not necessarily to achieve consensus but to have them develop the necessary skills to support their claims for critical thinking and argumentative writing. They will match two parts of speech and support their selection in order to win their argument, however, once their discarded choices are in the CAN, it CAN never be retrieved, so players must choose wisely,
Unlike other similar card-matching/answer-judging party games, this game's purpose is to help develop argumentative and critical thinking skills to better prepare students for the 21st Century workplace. Game includes rules, variations, and sample cards and blank cards for customizing game to current lesson. The only thing NOT included in the game is a small "can" like item (plastic cup, small box, etc.) to be used as the discard "can."
