It's Not a Worksheet (INAW): “In which quadrant is each ordered pair located?”
**INAW is fun, fast, easy, nothing to grade, it’s instant homework AND IT HAS BEEN PROVEN TO WORK.
**INAW has also raised students’ self-esteem because they see that with practice they learn the skill and it makes them happy.
**Students can learn their quadrants in 5-10 minutes a day! Students love it and teachers love it too! I LOVE IT!!!!
**I’ve been teaching for 24 years and I am always amazed at how many students struggle to memorize. That is why I created INAW to teach students skills in a fun way. It’s like a game to them and it works!
*Two students work together (compete) to see who can do the say the most problems in two minutes. They set a goal and they work hard to reach it.
*My students LOVE doing “It's Not a Worksheet,™” because they can see how much growth they make daily and weekly. It takes five minutes a day (or 10 if you want), and the students learn the skill. They do hundreds of problems a week while the teacher sits back and watches them learn.
*I included an example of one of my students who began the year knowing "0" multiplication problems and left the year with doing "97" in two minutes. Her pre-test in division was “0” and her post-test was “98.” INAW works the same way will other skills.
*I use INAW in my classroom daily because I have seen my students make incredible growth learning their math facts (and other skills). Not only are they learning their math facts, they are building self-esteem and that is priceless. My entire class made incredible improvements from the beginning of the year to the end. I know your students will do the same.
*INAW (It’s Not a Worksheet) is also available in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. There are INAWs for skills including but not limited to: place value, distributive property, absolute value, integers, rounding and many more coming soon.
