Product Description

Self-regulation means that during difficult situations, children can manage their emotions, behaviour and body movement. This is an important skill for children to develop however it can be difficult. Emotions can be big, scary and overwhelming for children. The “It’s OK to be Angry” approach is a three-step process that I have found helpful with children of all ages in allowing and processing their emotions. The “It’s OK to be angry clipboard” is a resource to help children name their emotion and choose a way to respond to it. There are eight mindful responses to choose from.

Easy to prepare!
Print the clipboard page onto card stock and laminate for durability. Add two clothespins with arrows drawn on them and you’ve got yourself a choice board for individual use!

What's Included?

-Introduction & Teacher Notes on how to do the techniques

-the printable clipboard

Introduce and practise using the techniques when everyone is calm. Repetitive practise when calm will allow children to become familiar with them which means the techniques will be more accessible to them during difficult emotions.
