The objective for this lesson is to find the probability of multiple events occurring. Students will be introduced to how to find the probability of one event occurring, and multiple events occurring.
For guided practice the class will play a game where they find the probability of drawing a prize out of a paper bag. They compute the probability of both multiple independent events and multiple dependent events with the paper bag. Then they move on to group practice with differentiated activities and finally independent work.
This Microsoft Word file contains a thorough lesson plan, and differentiated activities for guided practice, group practice and independent practice.
