There are two worksheets with 2 versions (left aligned and center aligned)
One of them is where the students can practice filling in the blanks with sight words. I taught the poem ahead of time and used this as a follow up activity to practice the poem as well as to read and write their sight words in the context of a poem.
The second sheet can be printed and combined to copy onto 11x17 or 8.5x14 size paper. The students fill in the missing the's in the poem by cutting and gluing (or writing them in). Great for the beginning of Kindergarten.
This poem is also great for adding sign language for the actions-ie. spider, wash, up, down, water, rain.
Visit my website for more ideas on how to include sign language in your kindergarten or first grade classroom.
