I'VE GOT A CAR is a fun song that is great for learning "re" and eighth / 2 sixteenth notes (ti tika). The "A" section is used to teach those two concepts, and there are only 2 "re" pitches there. It contains only three "ti tika" rhythms. Notation is color coded.
Sounds of "putt putt" cars and cars racing on the Autobahn are embedded, along with animated beats of pitch and rhythm that light up when tapped.
Here is what you get:
*MELODIC CONTOUR / PHRASE Page with 4 phrases, compare / contrast - tap the matching ones and they light up and make race car sounds. Tap the incorrect ones and they zoom off the page with putt putt sounds.
*MELODY Pages - tap the beats with the new "re" and they light up, creating car sounds. Also, the full song is presented on another page in full solfedge.
*RHYTHM Pages- 2 pages, tap the "Long Short Short" sounds, and they light up, creating car sounds. On another page, tap the "ti tika" sounds and they light up, creating car sounds. Tap the incorrect beat and be rewarded with a "Nooooo" sound.
*FULL SONG Page - Begin with the melodically notated page, tap and the new rhythms appear.
*ACCOMPANIMENT Page - includes a xylophone ostinato of do-mi-so and percussion ostinato (both the prepare rhythm and practice rhythm)
*GAME AND TEMPO Page - for your use. This song is great for tempo work as all kids understand speed of cars on a freeway is faster than that on a city street. Sing it many times in a row for tempo work. The movement goes with the "B Section" and is loads of fun.
