Looking for materials to teach Sunday school music? Wanting ideas for parochial school, Vacation Bible School, or for homeschooling? This set of materials is for the song "I've Got the Joy Down in my Heart," and includes:
*A slideshow with lyrics, discussion questions, and a video with the song
*A slideshow for preparation and practice of syncopa (eighth/ quarter/eighth)
*A slideshow for distinguishing between speaking and singing voices (focusing on the word "where" in the song)
*A book so that you may sing the song to your students, or they may sing it to themselves!
*Notation for the song
*Directions for the set, which includes explanation of rhythm syllables found in the slideshows
All materials also come in black and white, in case you don't have access to a LCD projector or computer. You can print out the slideshows in black and white so students can still see the visuals. This set was created to help strengthen students' musical understanding, as well as their faith!
A few notes about the set:
*To view the PDF's in full screen mode, go to "view," and then "full screen mode." This will allow you to view the slideshow like a Powerpoint.
*Please note that there are several duplicate pages in the set, so that you can have easy access for teaching. I did not include the duplicate pages in the page count.
*Download the preview for more information.
