About this Document
This document is great for all subjects, including electives, to meet with students about their progress in your classroom. If you have close to 150 students, it could be time-consuming, but it’s imperative to keep an open line of communication between you and your students to ensure maximum success.
This document is used to keep track of meetings between the teacher and student that should take place about a week and a half before grades are due for Report Cards. It includes a section for things the student is doing well, a section for areas for improvement, and a list of any missing assignments and failing grades. Give J.A.M. Session document to the student for their records and have their parent sign it so the parents know exactly what their student is doing right, what they’re doing wrong, what assignments they received a failing grade on, and what assignments they’re missing (and the latest due date to receive credit).
Fill out the document with notes and pass to students. When they return it, keep it on file and when the next grade session takes place, compare to see if they’ve improved or declined.
