PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This file contains 30 writing prompts to use during the month of January. The prompts are Common Core-aligned and include a variety of topics which facilitate opinion, informative/explanatory, and narrative writing.

The prompts come in two formats: task cards and posters similar in design to the cover page. You can choose to use one or the other, or a combination of both. I display the posters with my projector and instruct my students to respond to the questions independently. I use the remaining task cards for my writing station.

This file also contains December, January, and February binder/booklet covers as well as lined response paper - both in color and black and white. To create writing notebooks for your students, make as many copies of the lined response paper as necessary and staple these pages into packets or hole punch the pages and insert them into binders.

You will receive the following items with your purchase:
• Page 1: Cover Page
• Page 2: Binder Cover (Color)
• Page 3: Lined Response Paper (Color)
• Page 4: Binder Cover (B&W)
• Page 5: Lined Response Paper (B&W)
• Pages 6-15: Task Cards (three prompts per page)
• Pages 16-45: Posters (one prompt per page)
