This lesson plan covers JFK's stance on civil rights and how he addressed those issues. In this lesson, students will read and analyze JFK's speech on Civil rights. Following that, students will look at data from the US Census to determine how successful the Civil Rights Acts were in addressing the problems as outlined by JFK. Students will have to defend their answers using evidence from the documents.
