Fun and easy collection of 21 cards that English as a Second Language students can use in the classroom where you have been teaching the present perfect progressive, or jobs, or both. This has worked well with a low-intermediate class (Canadian Language Benchmarks CLB 2-3) but can work for slightly higher levels. Students seemed to have fun. Takes up about 20 minutes of class time and then you can discuss afterward for 10 minutes, things like "What job would you like?", "Which job is the hardest?" "Which one do you think pays the most?". Just print out pages and cut along the dotted lines to make stacks of cards, give them to pairs of students and have them place the cards face down, then take turns asking each other. They all get stuck on veterinarian, just fyi, so you can be ready for that one. Might want to shuffle the cards up a bit so that they are not all encountering the same questions at the same time and overhearing each other's answers. In the end, it gets them talking which is key in a communicative classroom.
