PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I bet you're hearing from administrators....."NO MORE WORKSHEETS OR RUN-OFFS! WE EXPECT TO SEE STUDENT GENERATED WORK!"
If you are implementing the Journeys Reading Series, these "kid friendly" illustrations were designed as a model for TEACHERS to use during whole group instruction, mini-lessons or as "posters" in literacy workstations. My students create, illustrate and label this CIRCLE MAP of CHARACTERS in their spiral notebooks, as I demonstrate each, step by step. They also include the CAUSE/ EFFECT and SYLLABLE COUNT SORT posters in their notebooks, as well. Writing the words AND illustrating an original picture to match, help those early readers be successful!
These notebooks are used as a personal “word wall” resource during daily writing, as well!

This pack includes:
1 Circle Map of the Story Characters
1 Cause and Effect Poster (sentence and matching illustration)
1 Prefix UN Poster

All items align with the Common Core Standards and the target/focus skills taught in the basal for this story.
