The transition from elementary to middle school can be a frightening and overwhelming experience or with the right leadership, communication and procedures in place can create a bridge for students to cross. Student anonymity is dissipated and replaced with knowledge, skills and bonding. Fear (false evidence appearing real) is one barrier 5th graders face entering middle school. Once this barrier is removed, students embrace the new adventure and are able to be successful. Building administrators following through with the simple steps outlined in the JOYrific Leadership, articulation facilitates amazing action and success.
