This activity has students choose sides on various issues raised in Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare. Works great as a pre-reading or anticipation activity, or perhaps as something to use after the story as a review or reflection exercise. Includes 10 key issues that students have to take a stand on and defend.
My students absolutely love when we do these Agree or Disagree activities instead of an anticipation guide. Gets students up and moving, and often leads to great discussions. The key is they have to be able to defend their point of view. Puts them on the spot sometimes, but definitely a worthwhile skill to develop.
Includes tips for teachers on how to utilize this in your classrooms.
