This is a small group reader's theater. It was written for four people. This is based on an Irish fairy tale. Jack Fox is a normal farmer who manages to find a leprechaun on his way home one day. He knows the story of how tricky they are and is careful never to look away from the little man. Finally, the leprechaun agrees to take him to his gold but Jack still never gets his hands on it. If you are interested in scripts for Saint Patrick's Day you can buy all six in the package called 'Irish Small Group Reader's Theater Pack' for $12. I write these scripts for small groups to help with fluency. When the group is small, they don't waste time sitting around waiting for their turn and get more time actually practicing. Reader's Theater actually encourages students who are reluctant to read. It is a fun way to get people to practice. You will also notice most of my scripts, including the picture are in black and white. This makes it easier to print and photocopy without too much ink. My name is Melanie Whitesides but I my store name is Wonbyone and I hope that your students enjoy this script as much as mine did. Let me know how things go!
