Pumpkins and apples and colorful leaves are all around us, heralding the arrival of autumn! Capture your students' enthusiasm for fall and Halloween with this fun practice and review activity! Your students will put their knowledge of coordinate systems, coordinate graphing, and ordered pairs to work creating a mystery picture with a seasonal theme for autumn. Students plot points from a list of ordered pairs and then connect the dots to form a Jack O' Lantern. The coordinate plane includes positive numbers only. There are four pages included: a page listing coordinates to be plotted, a blank graph for students, a completed graph page answer key, and a colored version of the completed figure. This is an easy ordered pairs activity, so it's a good starting point for beginners. You may also want to check out the ice cream graph
, which is even a little easier.
