Welcome to the Jack and the Beanstalk game. In the fairytales, Jack always climbs the beanstalk and finds the giant’s castle. In this game, students climb the beanstalk to find the castle at the top.
Students select a person to use as their game piece. Game pieces start at the bottom of the beanstalk. Then they spin the magic bean spinner to find how many leaves to climb up. Students then flip a leaf card and identify the letter. If students don’t identify the letter correctly they move back to the leaf they previously was on. When game piece reaches the top of the beanstalk, they land on the castle and win! The game can be adapted for other skills by changing the leaf cards to any skill that needs work on.
