Jacksonian Democracy is contrasted with Jeffersonian Democracy as the US becomes more inclusive in its electorate. The issues of the tariff and the BUS are examined and the effects they had on the growing US economy. The continuing debate on slavery is also looked at with slides on the Webster-Hayne Debate and the South Carolina Exposition. Native Americans are also examined with a look at the Trail of Tears.
