This easy activity lets entire class work together to master oral proficiency when talking about places around town and what one does there.
Simply pass out the cards, and have the student who has the starting card ask the question on his card. The student with the correct answer then calls it out and asks the question on his card…and players continue to ask and answer questions until the game wraps around the room and ends with the final card.
I like to record how long it takes the students to complete it once, and then I shuffle the cards and pass them out again and challenge them to beat their time. The kids love this activity and love the competition! I sometimes pit them against another class and that motivates them more.
You get 30 cards as well as templates for 6 blanks cards should you need to add others. If you have less than 30 students in your class, pass out two cards to some students. It's a great challenge for those higher-level thinkers to have two cards at once.
The cards are in color, but they would look just as good in black and white Print on cardstock and laminate to use over and over again!
The places around town include:
-le magasin de vêtements
-le centre commercial
-la station de métro
-l'arrêt de bus
