    Description

Jamboard Bundle! Any and all of my Jams from the 2020-2021 school year are here, if they are posted as unique resources. (Note: if a Jam is included in a more comprehensive/complex activity, it is NOT included in this bundle, i.e. my TED talks activity. This bundle is separate Jams only.)

Here are the descriptions of each (includes 7):

    Pre-reading Jam:

Here is a Jamboard that is perfect for a pre-reading task. It has four sections, and guides the students to look for words that are cognates, other words they know, and words that look important (because they are repeated/prominent) before they read. The fourth section is to go back to AFTER reading, to show some vocabulary that they have acquired.

    Use with authentic resources!

    To use:

    1-open a new Jam

2-add the image (it’s a PDF), the students can’t alter the headings this way

    3-engage your students, even remotely!

Fonts by Golly Miss Mollie here on TPT. See her store for more. This product uses the bulletin board font from this set.

Please note that this is a PDF file to be used as a template.

    SQA/KWL Jam:

Use this Jamboard with ANY topic for your class! Jam is ready to go with 3 pages, for students to share what they know, what they want to know, and what they learned.

Typically called a KWL in English, the SQA (in Spanish) gives us insight into the students' prior knowledge and interests (do the first two at the beginning). Then at the end, it provides us data on what they learned after the lesson (do the last one at the end).

    To use:

    1-open a new Jam

2-add the image of each page S, Q, A (PNG files)-students can’t alter them this way!

3-add your own image or text box to specify the topic

    4-engage your students!

NOTE: images are provided in a ZIP file.

    Thanksgiving Jam:

Use these Thanksgiving Jamboard templates to let students express gratitude! The Jam is ready to go with 3 pages, each with a different expression of thanks.

    To use:

    1-open a new Jam

2-add the image of each page: students can’t alter them this way...

    3-engage your students!

Use what they write to ask more questions, or ever better, get them to ask questions to each other!

Note: these templates are saved in a ZIP file

    Weekend chat Jam:

Struggling to get your kids talking? Get to know your students with a Jamboard! Students LOVE it and give positive feedback on using sticky notes on the Jamboard. They are willing to communicate in a different format sometimes...give it a try to open up more conversation!

This activity is set up for a weekend chat. Hopefully, you are already starting your Monday classes with a little convo about the weekend, if not: start now! It is often one of the best ways to draw out informal conversations from them. Set up the Jamboard and then give them a few minutes to pick a couple prompts to respond to. Then, you and/or other classmates can ask questions for more details.

NOTE: These templates are saved as PNG image files in a ZIP folder.

To use with Jamboard, simply create a new Jam, then insert image and size it to fit. Students then can add their own sticky notes on top of the image of the template!! There is a cover page and 5 question pages included as of now. If there are additional questions you are interested in, let me know and I’d be happy to add them.

    cómo eres/adjectives Jam:

Get to know your students with a Jamboard! Students LOVE it and give positive feedback on using sticky notes on the Jamboard. They are willing to do more writing sometimes in a different format...give it a try!

This activity consists of three parts:

    p. 1-a word cloud to read with a variety of adjectives (many cognates and recognizable words)

    p. 2-then students identify adjectives that describe themselves

    p. 3-finally students defend an adjective they have chosen

There are 2 versions of pages 2 and 3: one version of each with an example sticky note (if you REALLY want it to be grab n go!) and one version without, in case you want to complete one for yourself as the example.

This serves as a great intro/spiraling task in upper levels (I used it recently as a lead-in in Spanish 3 on a lesson about characteristics of successful students-more resources coming soon!) or as a stand-alone activity for vocab building in lower levels.

NOTE: These templates are saved as PNG image files in a ZIP folder.

To use with Jamboard, simply create a new Jam, then insert image and size it to fit. Students then can add their own sticky notes on top of the image of the template!!

    music/song Jam:

Check out this Jamboard for listening to music, along with lyrics and photos. Use this tool as a different kind of listening practice. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times...I love a good cloze activity for music, but we have to switch it up too!

    To use:

    1-open a new Jam

2-add the image (it’s a PDF), the students can’t alter the headings this way

    3-engage your students, even remotely!

For this activity, you will have to share the song you want to use and photos that hint about what the song is about. Song audio/video/lyrics are NOT included here. (I have another resource in my store specifically for the song “Minas piedras” by Juanes.)

Fonts by Golly Miss Mollie here on TPT. See her store for more.

Please note that this is a PDF file to be used as a template in Jamboard.

    desafíos

I made this Jamboard to use for brainstorming desafíos of my students’ own community, as an intro lesson for our unit on Los desafíos mundiales, and to come back to as a resource when they do their cultural comparisons! It has three columns, for identifying the challenges, their causes, and possible solutions.

    To use:

    1-open a new Jam

2-add the image (it’s a PDF), the students can’t alter the headings this way

    3-engage your students, even remotely!

    Bell ringers/class openers (Cuál prefieres)

Here’s a great resource for TL conversations and community building! Use these as a class opener every day for a month or once a week throughout the semester.

Each slide has the question “¿Cuál prefieres?” and two options...and the students HAVE to pick a side. Then, you (or classmates) can ask questions for students to defend their choice. Questions range from the mundane (correr o montar en bicicleta) to the unusual (convertirse en serpiente o convertirse en pez). Commonly used vocabulary (deportes o videojuegos), high frequency verbs (dar, tener), and relatable scenarios (Netflix o TikTok) make this a surefire way to engage your students.

Please note that this product consists of Google Slides that are to be used as a template for Jamboard. There are 25 slides provided.
