James Joyce's Dubliners: "Looking Glass" Short Story Assignment
In this packet, you'll find everything you need to guide students through a quality creative writing project inspired by James Joyce's efforts to create a "looking glass" for the city of Dublin.
Through a series of three writing workshops, students will imagine realistic and detailed characters, settings, and events for their stories. Then they will draft their stories at home and complete a guided peer edit of their rough drafts. Finally, a rubric is included for your use in grading their stories.
This product provides you with everything you need for this creative Dubliners project. Simply schedule in the writing workshops and due dates to your syllabus, photocopy the handouts, and you are ready to go.
