Word Search based on Chapters 24 - 27 of the novel by Roald Dahl.
There are 39 words for students to find. After they find the words in the grid, students are asked to write a new sentence for each word. This is a sneaky way of checking their understanding of important words.
Use this activity to ensure that students are familiar with the vocabulary in these chapters of the book. It's a good Friday afternoon activity, or useful for early finishers, or to give to a sub teacher. Students see the word search as a fun task, and most don't consider the sentence writing exercise to be difficult.
The solution is included.
