Determining cause and effect is an important skill across the subjects. Why not apply that skill to your social studies lessons?
In this activity, students will complete a hands-on sorting activity to review cause and effect relationships related to the establishment of the Jamestown colony (aligned with Virginia Studies VS.1b and VS.3). Use this as a review activity, an assessment, or even an introduction to your Jamestown unit.
This resource includes:
• set of 16 sorting cards
• answer key
Students will match pairs of cause and effect sorting cards. Alternatively, they can complete the missing spaces on the cause and effect worksheet.
