This I Have... Who Has..? game has 25 cards. It covers all the terms and definitions students need to know for Virginia Studies SOL VS.3. Words include: Wealth and power, silver/ gold/ raw materials, economic, Virginia Company of London, 1607, James River, inland/ easily defended/ deep water/ fresh water, King James, General Assembly, 1619, House of Burgesses, Portuguese, Angola, Africans, expansion of the tobacco economy, establishment of families, 1620, no drinking water/ lacked skills/ starvation and disease, supply ships/ forced work program/ emphasis on agriculture, John Smith, food/ tools/ pots/ copper/ jewelry, Chief Powhatan, Pocahontas, corn and tobacco, and invaders.
Directions for play: Cut out the cards. Give each student one card (or two if there are less than 25 students). Choose a student to start. He/she asks the question at the bottom of the card. Whoever has the answer says "I have ---" and then asks the question on the bottom of the card. This continues until it gets back to first card.
Use the plain version above if you are just going to use it once and throw it away, or if you are going to give a set to each student to practice. You can also use it as an answer key.
Use the more visual version if you are going to laminate and use over and over again!
