Product Description
My students and I love this unit! The study of Jamestown is integrated with the mystery genre. I used this unit after reading Carol Marsh's The Mystery at Jamestown, students completed this project as a final assessment.

The unit can be changed to suit your needs. Students write a letter as a Powhatan Indian or a colonist. Next, students become archeologists! They create or find items that would have been used during that time period.

The unit includes:

Jamestown Dig Project & Letter Description
Graphic Organizer for the Letter
Rubric for the Project and the Letter
Question Mark Bookmark
Mystery Vocabulary
Reader Response Power Point

Use some or all of the unit as it suits you!
