My students absolutely LOVE these types of activities!
This set includes 4 sets of 24 task cards to use as an engaging game to reinforce the important skill of computation with a winter theme.
Practice Set - Simple addition and subtraction problems with no regrouping to practice how to play!
Set 1- Addition (questions progressively get more difficult)
Set 2 - Subtraction (question progressively get more difficult)
Set 3 - Mixed Addition and Subtraction Problems
How to play:
Students will search for the card that says "start here". They will do the computation for that problem and write the answer in box 1 on their response sheet. They will then search for the next card by finding the problem where the first number of the computation problem is the answer from the problem they just did. So if their answer was 12, they look for a problem that has a 12 as the first number, do the computation, write the answer in box 2 then search for their next card. If they did the problem incorrectly, they won't be able to continue and will go back and do the problem over.
Each set is available in color and ink saving black and white.
Cards could be stapled/taped around the room or mixed up and put in a math station.
