Description
JANUARY FINE MOTOR ACTIVITIES work on tracing, snipping, cutting, hole punching, rolling play dough, and more! These printables and low prep centers have a winter theme and are great for small group instruction at the Teacher Table. Use the January Fine Motor Activities in busy boxes, morning work tubs, and for Table Time, too.
JANUARY FINE MOTOR ACTIVITIES includes:
- TRACING PATHS - for practicing horizontal, diagonal, wavy, and zig zag lines. Includes 9 Color & 9 Black & White paths to trace.
- TRACING CARDS are so much fun! These mini cards are perfect to assemble on a book ring and use at Table Time, in morning work tubs, or at the Writing Center. There are eight basic winter-themed shapes to trace. Kids absolutely love these and enjoy tracing them over & over!
- SNIPPING STRIPS - helpful for young students who are just beginning to use scissors and haven’t practiced cutting very much. These printables allow young learners to “snip” short lines and CUT in a single motion. Makes a great filler for your sensory tub or use the snips for a glue lesson!
- CUTTING PRACTICE SHEETS - super simple pages that get students CUTTING without becoming too tired or overwhelmed. Save them in a student portfolio to document progress, too!
- HOLE PUNCH CARDS - strengthen small muscles with a hole punch! Ten wintery Hole Punch Cards are included. Use them for punching or lacing!
- PRE-WRITING CARDS - Kids get fine motor practice making all the basic strokes of letters with these eight cards.
- PLAY DOUGH MATS - Six snowflake Play Dough Mats for fine motor fun!
- PLAY DOUGH PATHS - get students rolling play dough into long, thin strips and following a simple path. There are 12 Play Dough Paths (6 in color/6 in B&W). You can also use these mats with a dry erase marker for even more fine motor practice!
- FINE MOTOR MATS - a favorite of students, teachers, and parents! Ten Fine Motor Mats are in this resource (5 Color / 5 Black & White). Use the color mats with pom-poms, small manipulatives, mini erasers, or playdough. Copy the B&W printable mats and use with dot markers, small stickers, and paints. An engaging way to work on fine motor skills!
Busy teachers like you LOVE how these activities don't require much prep and are easy to set up! Students LOVE how much fun they have doing them!
Preschool, PreK, Transitional Kindergarten, and Kindergarten students will benefit from the fine motor skills practice found in this resource.
