PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

January Speech and Language Homework Contents (9 Documents Included on one Word Document):

1. Articulation Homework Calendar (1st Document) - This calendar contains small activities for everyday of February. Each 7 days focuses on a theme (Candy, Baking, Acts of Kindness). The activity for these days revolves around the theme listed on the far left hand side of the calendar. This calendar is great for students from K-5th grade and up. There is a spot to place the sound(s) the child is working on and a place for the homework helper to initial indicating a completed assignment. In addition to the daily activity I request my students practice at least 20 words containing their speech sounds. I give out word lists which I plan to make available on TpT at a later date.

2. Conversational Articulation Calendars (2nd Document)- This calendar is for your students who are working on a sound in conversation. This will help you gauge carryover into other environments. Each day the student is asked to have a 5 minute conversation with their homework helper. The homework helper then indicates how the student performed on their sound and initials the day.

3. Individual Language Calendars for Kindergarten through fourth grade (3rd - 7th Documents)- There are 5 separate calendars included. One for each grade from K-4th grade. Each calendar has a theme for the seven day period indicated on the left hand side and each column focuses on a specific skill/task (categorizing, defining, creating sentences, correcting sentences, pronouns, irregular verbs, etc.). Students are to complete the task with a homework helper each day. The homework helper is then to initial the days completed. Some calendars have cuing and hints in parenthesis to assist the homework helper in providing the student with different cues. If the student has Articulation goals as well they are also asked to practice 20-25 words in addition to the short daily assignment. There is a place in the upper right hand corner to indicate the sound(s) being addressed.

4. Fluency Calendar (8th Document) - This calendar contains small activities for everyday of February. Each 7 days focuses on a theme (Candy, Baking, Acts of Kindness). The activity for these days revolves around the theme listed on the far left hand side of the calendar. This calendar is great for students from K-5th grade and up. There is a spot for the homework helper to initial indicating a completed assignment. The columns are labeled with different skills to be addressed (deep breathing, easy onset, light consonant contacts, speech rate, pausing and chunking, and eye contact).

5. Conversational Fluency Calendars (9th Document)- This calendar is for your students who are working on fluency in conversation. This will help you gauge carryover into other environments. Each day the student is asked to have a 5 minute conversation with their homework helper. The homework helper then indicates how fluent the student was and initials the day.

**Please Check out my store to view my Speech Homework Letters - I copy this letter on the back of each homework calendar. It gives the parents instructions for how to complete each the different calendars and what the student is to be working on.

In my speech room students are rewarded for the number of homework assignments completed each month. 1-10 assignments might be a small prize or maybe a sticker on their chart. 11 - 20 completed assignments might be a medium sized prize or two extra stickers on their chart towards a large prize day. 21-31 complete assignments might be a large prize or 3 extra stickers on their chart. They have the choice of breaking their points up and getting three small prizes if they complete all assignments. Students can also bank their points for a Breakfast party in December and May. Feel free to use these as you please. I will attempt to get my homework calendars put on TpT for each and every month. Eventually I would also like to create some social skills and pragmatic language calendars as well! If you do not wish to buy all calendars but instead only want a specific one please visit my TpT page. You will find each individual calendar for sale.

I hope you enjoy!
