January Winter STEM Activities

Make the month of January and Winter a celebration with these STEM-TASTIC activities. These 8 engaging January Winter STEM activities are sure to add some rigor and excitement to the month. These quick prep STEM challenges can be used as stations or as activities completed throughout the day/month. These STEM stations were created with Kindergarten and 1st grade in mind, but could also be used for 2nd grade.

Challenges Included:

Noise Maker (students create a noise maker)

Shape Lanterns (students build paper lanterns using pattern blocks)

Unity Wreath (students create a wreath using colored paper and a paper plate)

Snowflake Creations (students create snowflakes with paper)

Snowball Creations (students use marshmallows and toothpicks to create a creation)

Penguin Creation (students create a penguin using cubes or blocks)

Winter Dough (students create pictures using play dough and picture cards)

Winter Blocks (students create pattern block pictures using pattern blocks and picture cards)
