Make more of your morning calendar routine! These January calendar pieces have themed words for your class to learn and discuss. There are 108 January themed vocabulary words to choose from. Some example words include:
Anorak, blustery, Jack Frost, hypothermia, snowplow, sleet, flannel
There is space on the calendar pieces for student calendar helpers to write the numeral for the day. The pieces are the standard size for most classroom calendars (2.5” by 2.5”)
Calendar pieces have 2 color background choices (red with a snowman, green with a penguin). This way, students may create a color pattern, as well as learn a new word
These calendar pieces are easy prep. Just print on heavy paper, laminate, cut apart, and use year after year.
Also included is a January Calendar Journal for K-2. There is a cover and 3 response page choices (word/definition/sentence/picture; word/definition/picture; and word/picture)
Prep for Journal: Copy cover and desired number of response pages. Stack with cover on top, copy, and cut in half down the middle (each copy yields two student booklets).
I hope your class enjoys them and learns some great January vocabulary!
