Product Description
This is a written examination for Japanese Beginners. It is designed to be the first assessment task for the Preliminary HSC Beginners Course (Year 11) in NSW Australia, but could be adapted or used as is for any beginner studying Japanese after approximately 5-10 weeks instruction.

The format/layout of the examination mimics the look and feel of the HSC examination to familiarise students with the appearance of their final examinations.

The examination consists of 4 parts: Section 1 is the Hiragana table. Section 2 is the Katakana table. Section 3 is reading and transcribing Romaji words into Kana. Section 4 is reading short dialogues and answering questions pertaining to them.

The examination could be run in 1-2 hours depending on students' ability and experience.

This paper took over 3 hours to write, subedit and format to emulate the HSC layout/format, so save yourself the time and feel free to modify to your needs. I include the school's logo and the year on the cover page, but have excluded them for privacy in this version of the document.
