Japanese teachers: Bring color vocabulary to life with these close-up photos of everyday Japanese cars and a fun memory challenge!
Teachers can choose from three sets of cards, 11 romaji (Roman alphabet), 11 kana, and 9 kanji (excepting pink and orange, as they don't use kanji). Students first review the cards of the teacher's choice, and are then surprised with a worksheet (also included in romaji, kana, and kanji versions) that shows them black and white versions of the same cards and asks them what color each car was. One card is purposefully left out to increase the challenge. The worksheet allows for both writing and speaking practice as a "What color is the car?" and "The car is _____." is included.
Social Studies or World History teachers: This can be a fun wrap-up bonus activity for any unit on Japan or Asia. Use the Roman alphabet cards and Roman alphabet version of the worksheet.
