This set includes 9 katakana mats.
A 'mat' is the katakana chart, with varying numbers of symbols missing.
The missing symbols are to be placed in the correct chart positions by students.
Four charts have random, often confused symbols, missing.
The other five charts have a row of the chart missing ( eg. A, KA, SA etc)
Each 'mat' is designed to be printed on A4 paper and laminated for longevity. The missing symbols are at the base of the chart and are to be cut out separately and stored with the chart in a large ziplock bag.
This resource provides useful practice for symbol recognition and chart order.
It would be handy also for quick finishers.
Students are to work on the 'mat' individually or in pairs.
