This is another one of those Arts Integration projects that I really believe in. The end product is a great tool for 3rd-5th grade students & probably the most artsy way I can think of to make a multiplication table. The idea is to recreate the style of Jasper Johns "Numbers" in a multiplication table.
This worksheet is a great way to apply shape/form as elements of art or teach unity as a principle of design. The end result is a tool the students will be able to use for a long time (especially if you can laminate the worksheet).
I use this worksheet as the follow up project to my Shapes in Art - mini PowerPoint lesson and the lesson plan Jasper Johns Multiplication Table Lesson Plan has the entire project mapped out. Consider purchasing those documents as well to save yourself some much needed time.
I am constantly working to improve my lesson plans, PowerPoints, visuals, etc. If and when I improve this or any other item I have for sale on TPT, I will always offer the updated version to the purchasers of the original at no cost.
If you ever have a concern about any of my lessons feel free to email me. I'm happy to receive any feedback. ElemArts14@yahoo.com
