All About Me: Great for a French basics review at the start of the year / back to school time, these 8 reading comprehension questions worksheets (compréhension de lecture en français), which are all included at 2 levels, combine vocabulary and phrases from the following topics: Greetings and Introductions, Family and Pets, Sports and Hobbies and Describing People (Physical Appearance and Character Traits). These are also useful throughout the year as reading assessments, sub lesson activities, early finisher tasks etc. My French basics resources suit students beginning French and near beginners in Primary / Elementary and Middle School (Grade 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8), Core French etc, and may suit other grades, depending on experience. It's hard to be specific about grades as different countries, regions and schools start learning French at different times so if you check the preview file you can assess if these resources will be useful for you. Thank you! There are 2 PDF files within the Zip file to cater for both American and Canadian spelling.

There are 8 different worksheets, each at two levels, with answer keys for each. The text is in French and the questions are in English. The one-star versions contain the same text but are for less experienced or lower ability learners and therefore contain multiple-choice questions. The two-star version includes more challenging questions. Students could look up any words they don’t know.
There are two PDF files in the Zip file, one with US English spelling versions and one with Canadian English. The Canadian version also has the word ‘marron’ to describe brown eyes replaced with ‘bruns’ in worksheet 7, the only place where this is relevant. Many other French speakers use ‘marron’, which is used on the version of worksheet 7 in the US file.
