Jelly Bean Math is a fun math activity using jelly beans. I usually hide a plasctic egg filled with jelly beans and labeled with the students name somewhere in the classroom. The students are to find only THEIR egg, return to their desks, and keep their egg closed for the next activity. They should NOT reveal the location of any other egg. If someone is having trouble finding their egg, I usually play the hot/cold game plus directional turn right/look down, etc. to help them finish quickly.
The packet includes 5 pages of activities:
* sorting, addition, creating number sentences
* greater than, less than, equal to math sentences
* graphing, questions for the graph
* addition and subtraction word problems
* a cover page to color
