This math packet is the perfect addition to your classroom around the Easter holiday. Students will love working with the classic candy and you will love keeping academics in the picture as well! Two versions are included, so that you are able to choose if you'd like the packet in color or black and white, based on your students needs and ability levels. You could even print and laminate the color versions to use for years to come, or print the black and white version in a packet form for students to take home and share with their families (packet cover included).
Students will first sort their jelly beans by color according to the sorting mat. Students may also color the sorting mat jelly beans of the black and white version. Students will then count the quantity and record for each colored jelly bean. From here students transfer their data to a graph where they can record the quantity of each colored jelly bean and compare using words like most, least, more, less, greater than, and less than. After, students can use their jelly beans to measure the length of a pencil and a crayon as well as record their answers. Lastly, students will use their jelly beans to fill a square as well as a circle to compare the different areas of each shape.
