This fun unit will help to practice graphing, multiplication, division, and fractions by doing lots of hands-on activities.
What you get:
~Jelly Bean Sorting and Graphing: Students sort, tally, and graph jelly beans using a bar graph and pictograph. Then, they analyze their data and answer questions. Two versions included (scaled on one).
~ Jelly Bean Fraction: Students draw the set of jelly beans they have, and determine the set of jelly beans that are yellow, red, orange etc. This can be done with the packet above or can be used as a center. Individual baggies can be placed in the center for students to complete worksheet.
~Jelly Bean Array and Distributive Property: Students use jelly beans to create arrays and write their array equation. Then, they will split their array into to parts and multiply and add using the distributive property. This can also be done with the above activities in a packet or can be done as a math center.
~Worksheet Practice: Two worksheets to practice multiplying and dividing numbers.
~ Spin a number (Jelly Bean Multiplication Center)
Students use a paper clip to spin the spinner. They write the two factors and multiply, then they write the related division equation.
