These easy to read counting cards are the perfect size to count Jellybeans on (and other small crackers and candies).
We do this activity during our J is for Jellybeans themed unit.
Print and laminate the included cards. Hand out a handful of jellybeans to each student (I bag them ahead of time). Give each student at your table a random number card and have him/her count out the given number of jellybeans on the card.
As each student works on counting a number I watch and observe. Could he read the number independently? Could he count the correct number of jellybeans with out help? Etc.
As each student finishes each card I have them pass the card to the right. When a card has made its way all the way around the table to me I know that everyone has completed the task.
Its simple. It's easy. The kids enjoy it because they get to eat jellybeans at the end of the activity.
