To practice working with graphs with my students, I made a jellybean graphing sheet. We use a cup full of jellybeans and sort them by color. By either coloring in the squares for the total of each color jellybean, or by sorting the jellybeans onto the paper graph, we determine how many of each color jellybean we have. We discuss which has the most, which has the least, which has more than ___, less than _____, equal amounts, etc. I hope your students enjoy this as much as mine did!
Note: this activity could also be used for holidays like Halloween or Easter!
